Up with People Jr. (UWP Jr.) offers a fun and high energy music, arts, and performance based experience while helping children develop:
- Life Skills
- Confidence
- Sense of Community
- Greater Sense of Independence
- Respect and Understanding of Our Global Society
We have taken inspiration from Up with People, and developed a day camp curriculum rooted in learning and performing Up with People songs, and dances, participating in community action projects, and creating respect, awareness and appreciation, both locally and globally, for different cultures. Children who attend this summer program are better equipped with skills to make positive changes in their home, schools, community and the world.
Designed to mirror the mission and message of Up with People, the UWP Jr. shows include curricula content standards addressing topics such as culture, international awareness and personal identity. Each song in the show is accompanied by a lesson plan to enhance the student’s understanding of the song and its message.
Performing Arts
Music, dance, and drama, engage a child’s brain, body and emotions in different ways to encourage their confidence and find joy in self-expression, while developing modern learning skills and supporting traditional learning. Since Up with People Jr. is modeled after Common Core State Standards, it is a wonderful augmentation to yearlong learning in a school setting or for home school students.

Preparing our campers to actively take part in achieving the sustainable development goals defined by the UN will ultimately create sustainable world.

As part of our fun and exciting summer program campers explore, discover, and celebrate the vast beauty of cultural diversity found in each camper and around the world. Using the arts as a vehicle to unpack the meaning of culture and diversity while taking in pride in their own culture and differences.
Cultural Awareness:
- A personal positive sense of identity

Play
Swimming, Clip ‘n Climb, & Tons of Fun!
Seemingly frivolous and unplanned, “play” is an intentional tool, allowing our campers to live the skills they have learned during a day at Up with People Jr. Play, allows campers to develop cognitive and emotional strength. Play is important for healthy brain development, while teaching children healthy skills to engage, collaborate and interact with others.
Believe it or not, fun, fun, fun is our secret sauce.
